VPN Unlimited is a long-running commercial VPN aimed at people who want one account across many devices. KeepSolid publishes apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS, so a laptop, a phone and a tablet can share the same subscription. On Windows the client provides a server list, a quick connect option and settings for the connection protocol and for starting the VPN automatically. The typical reasons to use it are the same as with any VPN: encryption on public Wi-Fi, a different IP address for the websites you visit, and a secure path to the internet when travelling. Support for ARM devices matters for the newer thin Windows laptops that run on ARM processors, where some VPN clients still lag behind. A VPN is not an antivirus and does not stop websites from recognising you when you sign in; see it as one layer of protection among several.
Choose a server close to you for everyday use; distance adds delay. If a network blocks the VPN, switch the protocol in the settings and try again. When a website refuses to work over the VPN, disconnect for that task or pick a location in your own country.
The download is free, while the service is sold by subscription. Check current plans and renewal terms on the official website before paying, and cancel on time if you only want to test it.
